I am usually on the prowl over the net to figure out simple and tasty recipes for all non-veggie stuff. This is a recipe for chicken which is as delicious as it is simple. Ingredients used are usually and easily found at home and the taste is totally out of the world. The best part of this recipe is that it takes 5 minutes to assemble everything and then you can just chill while it gets cooked 🙂
Things you would need : ( I usually set the quantity according to the amount of chicken being cooked. The sauce needs to be thick is consistency, so adjust qty accordingly)
Chicken (Washed and cut into pieces, boneless will be better but works well otherwise too)
Soya Sauce – 1/2 a cup
Honey – 1 cup
Tomato Sauce – 1 cup (I usually use the Hot and sweet variety, adds a bit of sugar to my spice)
Chilli Sauce – 1/2 cup ( use only if you love your food HOT and Spicy)
Minced cloves of Garlic – 5-6 ( this too is according to your love for things that are garlicky)
2 tbsp of Olive oil
Mix all of this till you get a sauce with a thick consistency.
Place your chicken pieces in a baking dish, and then pour the sauce over it. The sauce should cover the chicken properly.
Sprinkle freshly ground pepper over the whole thing ( Again for us, the more the peppery :))
Preheat your oven at convection mode at 220 degrees for 10 minutes.
Place your baking dish in the oven at 180 degrees for 45-50 minutes. ( is the chunks are Big, it should be for an hour)
– You might turn over the pieces half way through the baking part
– experience will help you determine the time for which you bake better.
Try to keep baking till all the honey gets caramelized and starts sticking to the pieces.
Although I have not tried it, I am guessing adding a lil’ Jack Daniels will give a very beautiful flavour.
